Doctor Tifa said that because the case against him was a complaint, Jokowi would have been obliged to appear in court.

“Therefore, because this is also a crime of complaint, defamation and slander, it is absolutely mandatory for Pak Joko Widodo to appear at trial,” said Doctor Tifa.

On this occasion, Doctor Tifa explained something that was the subject of the indictment when Jokowi’s diploma was highlighted. Jokowi’s degree was examined based on his skills in the field of morphological anatomy.

Doctor Tifa stressed that he would explain himself clearly during the trial by analyzing the photo on Jokowi’s diploma. Because he didn’t do any manipulation of the photo.

“As for the photos, I will be happy to provide as clear an explanation as possible at trial, and I did not manipulate the photos at all,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jokowi’s lawyer Yakup Hasibuan said his client would attend the trial. Jokowi would also bring his S-1 diploma, which has been the subject of litigation in this case. Jokowi’s presence and his diploma also help shatter various narratives accusing the document of being fake.
