Punjabi actor Satish Kaul dies in Ludhiana: the Tribune India

Veteran Punjabi actor Satish Kaul, who has appeared in several Hindi-language films and shows including “Mahabharat”, died on Saturday due to complications from COVID-19. He was 74 years old.

According to Kaul’s sister Satya Devi, the actor, popular for playing Lord Indra in BR Chopra’s “Mahabharat”, was admitted to a city hospital after developing a fever six days ago. .

“He died today of COVID-19 in hospital. He had a fever and was not keeping himself well. We admitted him to the hospital on Thursday and had him tested, where he turned out to be COVID-19 positive, “Satya Devi told PTI.

Kaul is survived by his sister.

The actor has worked in over 300 Punjabi and Hindi films including “Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha”, “Aunty No 1” and the TV show “Vikram Aur Betaal”.

Kaul moved to Punjab from Mumbai and started acting school around 2011, which was not a success.
