As an open space for various community activities, Saumlaki MTQ area is under review by President Joko Widodo
HALLODESANEWS — President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by Minister of Investment/Head of Investment Coordinating Council Bahlil Lahadalia, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Governor of Maluku Murad Ismail and Acting Regent of Tanimbar Islands Daniel Eduard Indey visited the location of MTQ/Mandwriak Field in Saumlaki Tanimbar Islands, Maluku Province on Friday (2/9/2022).
The venue, which hosted Quran Musabaqah Tilawatil (MTQ) at Moluccas Provincial Level in March 2022, has been revamped by the PUPR Ministry specifically in the Tribune building section.
The expert staff of the PUPR Minister for Technology, Industry and Environment as well as the PUPR Ministry Spokesperson, Endra S. Atmawidjaja, said that the completed area layout is currently being used by the community for various public activities.

One of them is the MTQ competition, which was successfully held in March 2022 and now serves as a public space for official events like the August 17, 2022 ceremony, as well as community activities, like the sport, arts and culture, education and other social activities.
“We need to create public space as a third space so that our cities are more human, comfortable and have quality services,” Endra said.
Head of Maluku Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW), Reza Rizka Pratama, said the construction of the MTQ grandstand building was completed in the fiscal year 2020-2021 with a budget of 13 .91 billion rupees.
