Nigel Farage said Boris Johnson's Conservatives were the government that opened the doors to the world and that immigration figures were the reason so many Brexit voters were absolutely furious.
Speaking on GB News, Nigel Farage said: It is this government that has liberalized the immigration system in a way never seen before in history. They did it for the healthcare staff. They did this for a large number of categories.
If you thought Tony Blair was talking about mass immigration, forget it. It was the British Conservative Party, particularly during the time of Boris Johnson, which opened the doors to the whole world.
And that’s why so many Brexit voters are absolutely furious. They voted for control. They voted for a reduction in force, not a massive increase.
And just think about it: manifesto of 2010, manifesto of 2015, manifesto of 2017, etc. They promised us a net migration of tens of thousands per year. Net migration is now approaching three quarters of a million.
When you think about the 1.2 million people who settled, remember that many of those who left to give us the net figure were long-term Britons and therefore the sheer level of demographic change going on simply boggles the mind.
