Arief Ecosystem Work Volunteer Advisory Council Rosyid Hasan said that the candidate for governor of the first (1) constituency of DKI Jakarta 2024, Ridwan Kamil (RK), met on Friday with the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, in Solo, Central Java. , to learn how to run Jakarta.
“Maybe you want to learn from the former governor of Jakarta, you want to continue the good things because Pak Jokowi once led Jakarta (governor of Jakarta),” Arief said in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday.

The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) named the pair Ridwan Kamil-Suswono number 1, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana number 2, and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno number 3 in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada.
“I came as someone who had already helped Pak Jokowi,” said Ridwan Kamil, number one candidate for Jakarta governor.
Aside from that, he admitted that he is currently still listed as an Indonesian Capital Curator (IKN).
During the meeting, Ridwan asked many questions about Jokowi's experiences while still governor of DKI Jakarta.
“Pak Jokowi was also the former governor of DKI Jakarta. Of course, he provided me with information about Jakarta and its future, 90 percent of the advice was for me, who was still young, to be better and do more,” he said.
“So leaders need to understand the challenges of the future, which might be different in the next five years. I learned from the example of Pak Jokowi when he was governor,” he said.
Asked about the possibility of inviting Jokowi to join his campaign, he admitted that no such discussion had taken place.
“We're not there yet, of course there's hope, but I'm just going to follow how good he is,” he said.
On this occasion, Jokowi said that Ridwan Kamil had experience as governor of West Java province.
Regarding the request to become an activist for a number of candidates for the head of the regions who are running this time in the regional elections, he said that he had not yet made a decision.
“It’s being decided. Yes, it will be decided while walking,” he declared.
The DKI Jakarta KPU has determined three pairs of candidates (paslon) for the position of governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta who will run in the DKI Jakarta legislative elections on Sunday (22/9).
The three candidate pairs are Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) serial number 1, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent serial number 2 and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) serial number 3.
