TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Since the end of 2025, the members of the working group, or working groupof the Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform have traveled to several regions of Indonesia. They collected complaints from local police offices and community groups. The stories varied. Some officers have complained about tight patrol budgets. Another member of the commission, Yusril Ihza Mahendrasaid the books totaled about 3,000 pages. From these documents, the commission produced a 135-page report, which was then condensed into a summary of approximately 20 pages. All documents were completed by March 2026.
Even after the documents reached the president, task force members remained concerned about whether the recommendations would actually be implemented.
