Solo, May 20, 2026 – The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) said that it is fully prepared to welcome the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to various regions if the travel project across Indonesia initiated by Projo volunteers is effectively implemented. This was conveyed by the Chairman of PSI Daily, Ahmad Ali, after meeting Jokowi at his residence, Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo.
During the meeting, Ahmad Ali stressed that all PSI cadres in the regions would coordinate with Projo volunteers to welcome Jokowi. “We are ready to be present in each region and to welcome it in a spirit of solidarity,” he said.
The plan to visit Indonesia was born from the encouragement of Projo volunteers who wanted Jokowi to return to greet the public after 10 years as president. Ahmad Ali said Jokowi’s health has now recovered and his enthusiasm to meet the people is greater. “He is healthier when he meets people, because he has a desire that he wants to fulfill,” he said.
However, Ahmad Ali stressed that factors related to age and health recovery still need to be taken into account in preparing Jokowi’s travel program. “We certainly take his condition into account, so that every activity takes place smoothly and safely,” he added.
Besides discussing travel plans across Indonesia, the Solo meeting also discussed the development direction of the PSI as well as Jokowi’s contribution regarding national political dynamics. Ahmad Ali said Jokowi provided a number of strategic views to strengthen the PSI’s role in Indonesian politics.
