Jokowi was offered to star in a historical film Dayak, the main role was prepared by Commander Jilah
The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo or Jokowi, received an unusual offer when he received a visit from the Grand Chief of the Tariu Borneo Bangkule Rajakng Red Army (TBBR), Panglima Jilah, at his residence in Sumber Region, Banjarsari, Solo, Central Java, Wednesday (20/5/2026).
Behind the agenda of friendly and cultural discussions, plans are said to have emerged to invite Jokowi to participate in a colossal film on the theme of Dayak history.
The meeting first discussed the Dayak traditional and cultural agenda. Commander Jilah invited Jokowi to attend traditional cultural activities planned for next August.
Not only that, Panglima Jilah also offered Jokowi to participate in the colossal film project that was being prepared. The film is designed to tell the story of the Dayak community in the past, including the historical relationship and collaboration between the Dayak, Java and Majapahit community.
In the production plan, Jokowi is even expected to fill one of the main roles. Commander Jilah said his party would prepare optimally for the role.
According to Panglima Jilah, Jokowi’s response to cultural ideas and film production projects showed a positive attitude. Support for culture building was seen as one of the things that received attention during the meeting.
In addition to discussing films and culture, the two also spoke about national issues. Panglima Jilah believes that communication with national figures is important so that the aspirations of regional communities and traditional leaders can be conveyed directly.
