PCB set to host National T20 Cup final on June 6 or 7

The National T20 Cup 2025-26 final between Karachi Whites and Abbottabad is now scheduled to be played on June 6 or 7 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This will be a tough competition, as both teams have many talented players who can single-handedly win the game.

For the unversed, the National T20 Cup final was initially scheduled for March 18, but it had to be moved due to continued rain. Since the PSL 2026 began on March 26, the PCB decided to postpone the match and said the new date and time would be announced later.

This year’s National T20 Cup was held at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar to test the stadium’s facilities ahead of its first PSL match, scheduled between Peshawar Zalmi and Rawalpindi.

Unfortunately, the match had to be moved from this stadium as the government’s fuel-saving measures forced the PCB to change the schedule. As a result, this year’s PSL was limited to Lahore and Karachi only.

Talking about the National T20 Cup 2026, Karachi Whites and Abbottabad finished top of their group to reach the knockout stage. Karachi Whites beat Sialkot by five wickets to book their place in the final, while Abbottabad beat Lahore Whites on points since the second semi-final was abandoned due to rain.

The upcoming final between these two teams is eagerly awaited by many fans as the competition will produce high quality cricket. Karachi Whites certainly look favorites to win this year’s title, but Abbottabad also have a strong team capable of putting up a tough fight in the all-important final.
