RAWALPINDI: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was unable to meet his wife or talk to his children over phone on Eid.

This time also, the Eid clothes could not be delivered to him at Adiala jail. Eid clothes for his wife Bushra Bibi had already been delivered last Friday.

According to prison sources, the PTI founder and his wife spent Eidul Azha in their respective cells. No one met them and they were not allowed to meet.

On Eidul Fitr, Imran Khan was allowed to speak to his sons on the phone following a court order. However, during Eidul Azha, even this telephone conversation could not take place.

On the occasion of Eid, the new clothes of the imprisoned PTI founder were not delivered to the prison administration. During Eidul Fitr also, clothes could not be delivered to him.

Prison sources said that unlike Imran Khan, the Eid clothes for Bushra Bibi were delivered on time. Last Friday, Bushra Bibi’s two daughters personally handed over an Eid dress to their mother during a meeting in Adiala Prison, which the prison authorities inspected and then provided to her in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
