To a foreign observer, the United Kingdom’s monarchical system may seem strange. Given that most countries in the world operate as republics and elect their heads of state, the notion of status inherited by the eldest child of its holder is certainly less common these days. Although it seems outdated and absurd, the British constitution is in my opinion the best – combining gentle, symbolic influence and guidance with strict executive power. Can you really imagine the UK as a republic?

The quality of our public life would be fundamentally less without a monarch to unite us in times of peril and difficulty. Boris Johnson would not have been able to give a speech during COVID-19 like the one given by the late Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles has done well since succeeding his mother, leaving a lasting impression on the US Congress, who would not have listened to Sir Keir Starmer in the same way, let alone done him the honor of addressing him.

Closer to home, Charles continues to carry out vital diplomatic work, having agreed to visit the Republic of Ireland soon – the second time a British sovereign has done so since the country’s independence.

  • Meghan Markle’s explosive return to the UK criticized on Sky News in five words

  • The Crown’s crucial nature is why it can never be lost.

To ensure this, the Firm must adapt and preserve its good reputation with the British people.

But this week’s news that it is believed that light will soon be shed, in some cases, on non-working royals paying “zero” and “pepper” rents on luxury properties will no doubt upset many of the king’s subjects.

We’re talking about the royal family here – of course they’re going to live glamorous lives.

    It’s part of the package.

Having them live in a twin bed semi in Doncaster would be just ridiculous.

But it appears a report suggests former Prince Andrew and his brother Prince Edward have enjoyed near-zero rents for huge properties in Windsor Great Park, also revealing in some cases that high-profile inactive royals, including Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice and Princess Michael of Kent, are paying nothing or tiny rents on their properties.

They have money and should pay, even if it’s just to keep up appearances.

The Daily Mail reports that these properties are often second homes, and will be asked how many bedrooms their tenants actually need, especially as the country suffers a housing shortage and homelessness crisis.

Frankly, we first need to find out how and why these deals were made.

The British are very forgiving, but if something seems unfair our patience quickly runs out.

We cannot afford for this to happen with the monarchy and for people to be even more upset over the allegations against Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Although it remains highly unlikely, let us ensure that we do not under any circumstances end up being led by President Sir Keir Starmer.

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily.
