WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA – The case of alleged spread of false news and slander related to the alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has entered a new phase.
After going through a long investigation process and several case revisions, the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office finally declared the case complete or P21.
The P21 status indicates that the case which has attracted public attention for over a year is now ready to enter the prosecution phase in court.

A number of names have been in the spotlight including Roy Suryo and dr. Tifauzia Tyassuma, aka Doctor Tifa, is certainly getting closer to court.
Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, confirmed this latest development at Satya Haprabu Hall, Polda Metro Jaya, South Jakarta, Tuesday (2/6/2026).
“Thank God, the prosecutor has stated to date that the files we sent to the DKI High Prosecutor’s Office no longer require filling the gaps that we filled yesterday,” said Iman.
According to him, investigators are currently working in coordination with the prosecution to determine the timetable for implementing the second phase, namely the handover of the suspect and evidence.
“We are coordinating to transfer responsibility for evidence and suspects,” he said.

P21’s statement was an important point in this matter which, from the beginning, sparked wide debate in the public sphere, in social media and even in the field of national politics.
This case began when Jokowi directly reported allegations regarding the authenticity of his diploma to Polda Metro Jaya on April 30, 2025.
The report was released after various stories questioning the validity of Jokowi’s educational materials were widely circulated on various digital platforms.
Investigators then conducted a series of interviews with witnesses, experts, documents and digital evidence. After a long process, eight people were named as suspects.
During the case, the files were sent back several times by the prosecutor for completion. After all instructions were followed by investigators, the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office finally declared that the files were complete.
