Activist Gibran Nusantara meets Jokowi, prepares network for all regencies and cities

JAKARTA – The Central Leadership Council (DPP) of activist Gibran Nusantara (MGN) held a meeting with the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, at his residence in Solo on Monday (15/6/2026).
This meeting was an important boost for the rapidly developing organization in strengthening national consolidation as well as conveying plans for an official MGN declaration.
The MGN delegation was led directly by General President Andi Azwan, B.Bus, MBA. Also present were Deputy General President Sri Enik, SE, Burhanudin Abdullah, SH, Dimpos Simamora, SE.SH, General Secretary Abdul Aziz, Deputy General Secretary Ferdo Darvin Mahendra and General Treasurer Mr. Arief.
During the meeting, the MGN leadership presented the organization’s various strategic agendas, including plans for a national declaration to be held in 2026. The organization also highlighted its commitment to supporting the government programs of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka in realizing the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045.
MGN DPP General Chairman Andi Azwan said the presence of the organization he heads is not only aimed at providing policy support but also playing an active role in monitoring various government programs so that they work as intended.
“MGN is among the elements of society that want to contribute to nation building. We support the strategic programs of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran towards a Golden Indonesia 2045, while strengthening the supervisory function through synergy with various components of society,” Andi Azwan told DIKUTIP reporters, Wednesday (17/6/2026).
According to him, MGN administrators have long experience in various organizations, which allows them to act quickly to build networks in the regions. With this experience, MGN is today beginning to show its existence at the national level even if it is still relatively young.
Meanwhile, Jokowi welcomed the formation of the MGN. He believed that community participation plays an important role in supporting national development and maintaining national stability.
“Community participation is essential to nation and state building. I hope that the presence of MGN can bring benefits to the community, help create a conducive atmosphere, and strengthen national unity and unity towards a more advanced Indonesia,” Jokowi said.
The development of this organization is quite rapid. In more than a month since its establishment, MGN has successfully formed 38 regional leadership councils (DPWs) spread across all provinces in Indonesia.
MGN aims that by the end of 2026, the organizational structure will have been formed at the district and city levels throughout Indonesia. With an ever-widening network, the organization hopes to strengthen community participation in overseeing various national development programs.
Apart from this, MGN is also preparing a number of national strategic programs, including those related to increasing the supervisory role in the implementation of government programs. This step will be done in synergy with various elements of society to support the realization of a Golden Indonesia 2045.
