JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Constitutional law expert Feri Amsari responded to the political safari carried out by the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Lampung Province.
According to him, Jokowi’s steps were taken with the aim of helping Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) to be able to sit in Senayan.
“He needs this party to get decent numbers to enter Parliament as soon as possible in order to make progress,” Feri said when meeting in Cikini area, Jakarta, Sunday (28/6/2026).
Feri believes Jokowi’s political safari was carried out to help his youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep who is also general president of the PSI.

Feri also referred to Jokowi’s statement that he chose to become a citizen after leaving the presidency.
According to him, Jokowi’s actions were inappropriate because they were not in line with what he had expressed.

During the visit, Jokowi was seen wearing a shirt and hat with the PSI logo.
