President Donald Trump long ago left the Screen Actors Guild — which he joined in 1989 after his debut in the supernatural romantic comedy Ghosts Can’t Do It — but he continues to receive a five-figure pension from the union, years after his departure.

The president’s mandatory 2025 financial disclosure reveals that he received $77,808 in pension funds last year, or about $6,484 per month, from SAG. Trump became eligible for a pension through the union in 1992, the same year he made an appearance in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. He also received an annual pension of $8,724 from the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, of which he also became a member in 1989.

Trump took home residuals worth less than $201 each for his appearances on TV shows and in films such as Zoolander, The Nanny, Sex and the City, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Little Rascals, according to the documents.

The payment represents just a fraction of Trump’s more than $2.2 billion in disclosed 2025 income, an amount that far exceeds that of any other president and eclipses the at least $622 million he raked in ahead of his second presidential term in 2024. That total includes $1.4 billion from his family’s cryptocurrency businesses. Anna Kelly, deputy White House press secretary, told Fortune in a statement that neither Trump nor his family had engaged or would ever engage in conflicts of interest.

Trump continues to receive SAG-AFTRA payments despite not being a member for five years. The president resigned from the union in 2021, following threats from SAG-AFTRA to expel him for his involvement in the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol. Loss of union membership does not prohibit anyone from working, and under federal labor laws, acquired union members receive guaranteed retirement benefits, including a pension.

Weeks after the riot, SAG-AFTRA voted “overwhelmingly” that there was probable cause that Trump violated the union’s membership requirements through his role on Jan. 6, which the union called a “reckless disinformation campaign designed to discredit and ultimately threaten the safety of journalists, many of whom are SAG-AFTRA members.” Trump was later indicted for his attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election that resulted in the siege, but the case was dismissed after his presidential victory in November 2024.

Before a disciplinary panel reviewed his case, Trump resigned from the union, writing in response to the hearing: “Who cares! »
