America’s 250th birthday was as controversial as the rest of President Donald Trump’s term. Many celebration plans were criticized for pushing a $250 bill featuring Trump’s face at the Freedom 250 festival, losing several musical acts after they felt it was becoming political.

Then, on July 3, in front of Mount Rushmore, Trump delivered a combative and controversial speech, claiming that every country and world leader now respects the United States, that there has been an undeniable attempt to “drive the American spirit out of us,” that communism is on the rise (with implications that he was talking about Democrats), and that passing the Save America Act would ensure “we won’t lose elections for a hundred years.”

How popular is Donald Trump today?

The Civiqs opinion poll can be broken down by state with over 400,000 responses. Since his inauguration, Trump’s popularity in Georgia has seen a slight but steady decline. He started with 54% against, 44% for and 3% unsure. Since June, it has been 58% against, 38% for and 4% uncertain.

Here’s what the president’s national approval ratings look like:

The AP News poll from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows Trump’s approval rating at 62% against and 37% for him as of June 11. The Fox News poll shows Trump 60% against and 39% for June 12-15. The New York Times poll, which calculates a daily average of several other polls, shows Trump at 58% disapproval and 38% approval in July. 7.Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Trump at 64% disapproval, 33% approval June 18-22. The YouGov poll for The Economist shows Trump at 58.1% unfavorable, 40.6% favorable and 1.3% don’t know as of June 1. Who has the lowest presidential approval rating ever?

Although Trump’s approval is quite low, it is not the lowest ever, according to Gallup. Harry Truman holds this record, whose worst approval rating recorded was 22%. More recent lows include George W. Bush, whose lowest was 25%, and Trump’s first term, where it fell to 34%.

The highest presidential approval rating went to George W. Bush, reaching 90%, while his father, George HW Bush, held the second highest with 89%.

Trump is the only president who has not achieved an approval rating of 50% or higher to date in Gallup polling history.

Trump accounts for kids

“Trump Accounts” is a program designed to give America’s newborns a stake in the stock market and help them build wealth early on. They went live on July 4 with families of 6 million children demanding accountability, including 1.4 million newborns receiving $1,000 in seed money from the government.

The accounts belong to the children but are administered by an adult until the child turns 18, according to Fidelity Investments. IRS rules state that you can withdraw funds from a Trump account on January 1 of the year you turn 18, but these guidelines are subject to change.

Parents or legal guardians have at least two options for opening an account. The last and easiest is to file IRS Form 4547 online at trumpaccounts.gov. You can also file Form 4547 with a tax return.
