Gibran no longer sells, Jokowi dynasty expected to collapse in 2029
The political safari of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) with the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) is once again in the spotlight.
Amid this series of political visits, Ummat Party Advisory Council Chairman Amien Rais predicted that Jokowi’s efforts to increase the electability of his eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, in the 2029 presidential election would produce no results.
In a broadcast on Amien Rais’ official YouTube channel, Amien estimated that Gibran no longer had political appeal for the next contest.
“Jokowi’s peddling of Gibran in the 2029 presidential and vice-presidential elections will not sell,” Amien Rais said.
According to him, Jokowi’s hope of having great influence again in the 2029 elections is just wishful thinking.

“In the puppet world, Mbilung is a clown who defends Togok, the criminal defender,” Amien said.
He even believes that the Jokowi family’s political journey will end in the 2029 elections, but does not even rule out the possibility that this will happen sooner.
“No one knows the fate of humans except Allah SWT,” Amien said.
This statement appeared amid the political moves of Jokowi, who began actively organizing safaris in various regions with the PSI. The first visit took place in Lampung province from June 26 to 28, 2026, while the next visit is expected to take place in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) at the end of July 2026.
The PSI previously stressed that Jokowi’s political safari was not aimed at creating a new axis of power. PSI DPP Chairman Bestari Barus said Jokowi asked his party cadres and supporters to keep the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
