JAKARTA, KOMPASTV – Deputy General Chairman of the Nusantara People’s Brigade (BRN), Ade Dermawan, said that the camp of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, is ready to face the main trial of the alleged defamation case related to the diploma issue.
“Mr. Jokowi’s friends are actually ready to come to court. Not only Mr. Jokowi, but also his classmates. These preparations have been made since the examination process,” Ade said.
However, Ade appreciated the exception presented by Dr. Tifa, Abdullah Alkatiri, because it was considered a correction for the prosecutor in preparing the indictment.
“We appreciate Bang Alkatiri. His exception was so good that it was accepted by the judge and became a correction for other prosecutors. But we hope that this case will continue until it reaches the main case so that everything can be proven in court,” he said.
Meanwhile, lawyer Dr Tifa, Abdullah Alkatiri, admitted that he welcomed the interim decision which granted his client’s exception.
“As lawyers, we are certainly pleased with the decision that frees our clients. Our job is to fight for the clients’ legal interests,” Alkatiri said.
