Women’s Tennis 2026 Recruiting Class Ranked 11th Nationally in the TRN Spring Rankings
The Demon Deacons’ incoming freshman trio – Lillian Santos, Catherine Rennard and Bella Jacutin-Mariona – are the program’s highest-ranked recruiting class since 2013. Santos and Rennard have each earned Blue-Chip status, while Jacutin-Mariona is a five-star player. All three signees are in the top 35 of TRN’s individual rankings.
Lillian Santos | Scituate, Mass. | ICL Academy
Lillian is the No. 1 recruit in the state of Massachusetts and is currently ranked 16th nationally. Last fall, she jumped from 28th place. She has been playing as a top-35 player since 2023 and is also ranked second overall among New England. Lillian’s 2025 accolades include being a National Clay Courts Champion and a doubles finalist in both the J300 and J200 within the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour Juniors circuit.
Catherine Rennard | Asheville, NC | Covenant Academy of Asheville
A native of the state, Rennard comes in as North Carolina’s No. 1 player. She also currently sits at 17th in her career, having moved up fifteen spots since June 2024. The Asheville product has jumped every year since her freshman campaign, when she rested just inside the top 30. Last summer, Rennard enjoyed a standout performance at the 2025 USTA Billie Jean King Girls National Championships, where she played her way to a doubles finalist.
Bella Jacutin Mariona | Los Altos, California | Los Altos High School
Hailing from the West Coast and a family full of athletes, Bella has turned heads as one of the top competitors in California. She is ranked No. 6 in the state and is ranked No. 33 in the country. Over the summer, Bella ranked just outside the top 20 nationally at No. 21. As captain of the Los Altos Eagles, she helped lead the program to exceptional success as one of California’s top high school teams as Los Altos won back-to-back California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Northern California championships in 2024 and 2025.

The Tennis Recruiting Network has enlisted the help of junior tennis experts to determine the top ranks. Reporters, national and international tournament directors, referees, ranking chairs and writers from across the country spent time voting on the top divisions.
Schools received 25 points for each first-place vote, 24 points for each second-place vote and up to one point for each 25th-place vote. Incoming transfer students and incoming freshmen who attended in the spring of 2026 were not considered during the voting process.
