PwC signs sponsorship agreement with major cricket team

PwC has entered into a partnership with a major cricket club as the professional services provider expands further into the sport.
The American arm of the Big Four organization will become the sleeve partner of the Major League Cricket team, the Texas Super Kings.
PwC’s Rob Baldwin described the deal as aligned with their “commitment to investing in the communities we serve,” adding that it is “an opportunity to support a sport that resonates with communities across” the Lone Star State.
The Texas Super Kings are one of six teams in Major League Cricket, the American T20 franchise competition with heavy Indian influence – as well as sister leagues in England and South Africa.
The Super Kings are owned by Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, owner of the Indian Premier League team of the same name, with backing from former Dallas Mavericks owner Ross Perot Jr. and Indian-American businessman Anurag Jain.

PwC has broader associations with Formula 1 – who signed a multi-year deal with the motorsport series to become their consulting partner – and the San Francisco 49ers – who brought them on board as their official digital consulting partner in 2025.
North America is currently undergoing a revolution from traditionally non-American sports in the United States, with cricket attracting big players like Steve Smith in the lead-up to the LA28 Olympics.
Football is also in for a boon as the FIFA World Cup will light up the stadiums – albeit with some controversy – until the end of next week.
The Super Kings team includes Faf Du Plessis, Adam Milne and Hardus Viljoen.
