Table tennis tournament ends – Daily Excelsior

UDHAMPUR, July 9: The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council successfully organized a table tennis tournament under the flagship initiative “My Youth My Pride” at the Indoor Sports Hall, Subash Stadium, Udhampur, with enthusiastic participation of around 70 players from across the district.
The program was graced by Tarseem Singh, DYSSO Udhampur, as the chief guest. The event was organized under the supervision of Suraj Bhan Singh, Manager, Subash Stadium, Udhampur.
Among those present were Prikshit Khajuria, treasurer of Udhampur District Table Tennis Association; Sunny Sharma, member of Udhampur District Table Tennis Association, Jatin Sethi, Mannat Arora and Madhav Magotra. The matches were officiated by technical officials Sahil Malgotra and Ankit Sharma (table tennis mentor), ensuring a smooth and fair competition.
In the results, Prisha Devi defeated Shriya to win the U-15 Girls title while Shoba Devi emerged victorious in the Senior Girls category with Smriti finishing second. In the U-13 Boys category, Sourav claimed the title by defeating Sukant. Aditya Sharma won the U-17 Boys title, while Varun finished second. In the Senior Boys category, Madhav Sharma secured the first position while Ujjwal Verma finished second.
