Match Preview: Women’s Vitality Blast League Two Final Day
Kent Women head to Sophia Gardens to take part in the second Women’s Vitality Blast League Two Finals Day on Sunday 12 July.
The horses head to their first day of finals after finishing second in the group stage of this summer’s competition.
Kent will take on Gloucestershire in the semi-final from 12pm, with the winner taking on group winners Glamorgan from 4pm.
Kent Spitfires’ final Vitality Blast South Group home game of the summer of 2026 is against Middlesex at the St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury.
It has now been confirmed that the start is at 2.30pm, with gates opening at 12.30pm.

Kent Women comfortably defeated Derbyshire Falcons by seven wickets at the OurCoop County Ground, Derby to keep their Women’s Vitality Blast League Two Finals Day hopes alive.

After restricting Derbyshire to an under-par 124 with some tight bowling and fielding, the Horses comfortably chased down the total in 14.4 overs, earning them a precious bonus point in their final match before finals day. Maddie Blinkhorn-Jones top scored with 50 not out from 40 balls.

Gloucestershire Women have included five new faces in their 2026 squad, with Abi Bryan, Lucy Bull, Bella Herring, Sophie Smith-Graham and Maddie White all promoted through the Gloucestershire Pathway system.
Ahead of the Blast, Gloucestershire announced the signing of Izzy Storrar on a season-long loan from Berkshire. The talented all-rounder has been a key figure throughout Berkshire’s pathway system and has already achieved success at senior level despite being only 19 years old.
In their group stage match, a dazzling 75 from Amelie Munday led to Gloucestershire’s 15-run Vitality Blast win over Kent at Canterbury.

Munday’s 75, her first List A 50, came from 40 balls, including three sixes, as Gloucestershire made 191 for 6 from their innings. A measured 27 from Izzy Patel and a quick 33 from Georgina Start provided great support as the visitors amassed an impressive total.
Kent’s reply featured 66 from Coco Streets and good contributions from Kelly Castle and Amy Gordon, but Gloucestershire’s clever field placements and tight bowling kept Kent’s run-rate in check as they could only manage 176 for 6 from their innings.
