Due to the influx of COVID-19 cases, three Spring Grove Area school district buildings and one Northern York County school district building were closed on Monday.

According to the Spring Grove website, Spring Grove Area High School, Spring Grove Elementary School, and Paradise Elementary School have been closed after recording 14 COVID-19 cases in three buildings in the last 14 days as of Friday afternoon. ..

South Mountain Elementary School in northern York County was also closed after recording three incidents in the last 14 days, according to a district news agency on Friday.

Weekends count as two days towards the three-day closure required by state guidelines, so all four schools will reopen on Tuesday. All other schools in both districts remain open for direct instruction.

Spring Grove’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded a high number of cases across the district last week.
