Former chief strategist Donald Trump has told Newsnight that the president should not be held accountable for the allegations against Russia’s participation in the 2016 election.

In an exclusive Newsnight interview, Bannon praised Robert Mueller as an “honorary guy,” and said he shouldn’t shoot Trump, but deputy Ros Rosstein should go.

Defending Trump and his campaign, he believed President Martin Luther King would be “proud” of creating jobs for blacks and Hispanics.
