The U.S. has accused the World Health Organization (WHO) of “allowing” the “uncontrolled” rotation of the Covid-19 outbreak, “the cost of many lives.”

“At least one member state mocked its transparency obligations at a tremendous cost to the world,” the U.S. Secretary of Health said in a statement to the United Nations Health Assembly.

U.S. President Donald Trump has accused China of exploding China and blamed the WHO for not having a Beijing account.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a virtual meeting on Monday that his country had acted “openly and transparently.”

WHO Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had previously agreed to an independent review of the agency’s pandemic treatment agency.
