An effective and detrimental 14-day quarantine plan for tourism – BBC News
Home Secretary Priti Patel has confirmed that almost everyone arriving in the UK must come in within 14 days in the forties to fight the spread of the coronavirus. However, the plan has been heavily criticized by MPs from all parties, including the top conservatives – and the tourism industry.
Opponents say the measure has come too late, will not be effective and will affect people visiting the UK and harming the tourism industry.
People who fail to comply with the new rules will be fined £ 1,000 and face charges.
Meanwhile, questions have been raised about the test and tracking system to address the spread of Covid-19. The Prime Minister has promised that by June 1 there will be a contact system to achieve a “global coup”.
However, the woman in charge was unable to provide key information to parliamentarians about the functioning of the system.
