Sorsogon town to beat evacuees from Mt. Bulusan

Legazpi Town – The local government of Guban Township in Sorsogon on Tuesday, 14 June, ordered the evacuation of evacuees families from the danger zones of Mount Bulusan.

Arvi Ludrino, head of the municipality’s office for disaster risk reduction and management, said the dismantling process will start in the morning and is expected to be completed before noon.

148 families or 489 individuals have been evacuated from Barangay Putting Saba.

Dr. Edric Vargas, who is in charge of the disaster risk management division of the city’s rural health unit, said two of the evacuees will remain temporarily in the evacuation center for health reasons.

He said another evacuee has been isolated at Sorsogon County Hospital.
