United States: A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Gulf of California on Sunday, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

Mexico’s Civil Defense Agency confirmed there were no early reports of damage in the quake zone, but advised boaters and local coastal residents to take action due to possible currents in the ports. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles).

The US Tsunami Warning System declared shortly after the earthquake that there was no danger of a tsunami in Alaska, British Columbia, or the West Coast of the United States.
