In countries with low and medium income (LMIC), childhood cancer rates are often below 30%, much lower than those in high -income countries. Six additional countries have been officially invited to join the platform.
The initiative is ready to become the greatest, with the aim of reaching 50 nations in the next 5 to 7 years. It aims to eventually provide medication to treat approximately 120,000 children with cancer in LMIC, significantly reducing the mortality rate.

It is estimated that 70% of children from these settings die from cancer due to factors such as lack of appropriate treatment, treatment disorders, or poor quality drugs.
“The chances of survival of cancer are largely determined by where they were born, which makes this one of the most important inequality in global health care,” said James R. Downing, MD, President and Executive Director of St. Jude. “St. Jude is based on the dream of Danny Thomas that no child should die at the dawn of life. Developing this platform, we believe that this dream can one day be achieved for children encouraged by cancer, no matter where they live. “
