The community helps with Venezuela earthquake relief through PAWS4you Rescue donations

As Venezuela begins the long road to recovery in the wake of devastating earthquakes, South Floridians have answered the call for help. Community members at PAWS4you Rescue recently came together to donate urgently needed supplies to families and pets affected by the disaster.

Although the open house has ended, the relief efforts are not over yet. Fundraising continues throughout the week and is transported to Venezuela every Sunday through humanitarian relief partners, ensuring aid reaches those most in need as recovery efforts continue.

The donation drive collected essential items including pet food, leashes, collars, blankets, crates, non-perishable foods, baby supplies, hygiene products, first aid items and other vital necessities that will help provide relief to those facing unimaginable hardships.

“When disaster strikes, families and their beloved pets need hope,” said Carol Caridad, founder and CEO of PAWS4you Rescue. “Seeing our community come together to help complete strangers is so inspiring.”

Guests also had the opportunity to tour the shelter, learn about adoptable dogs and cats, and learn more about the mission of PAWS4you Rescue while contributing to international humanitarian efforts.

This initiative is made possible thanks to the support of community partners, including Pet Supermarket and PetSmart, who continue to serve as official collection sites for those who were unable to attend the event.
