PMNCH | Quality, equality and dignity

The QED effort aims to ensure equal access to quality care during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period, and to ensure that all women, infants, children and adolescents have a positive experience of care that respects and fulfills their rights.
Why is QED the focus area for 2018-2020?
Global momentum for universal health coverage provides an opportunity to improve access to and quality of care – both needed to meet the Sustainable Development Goals of halting the deaths of mothers, infants, children and adolescents by 2030.
The unacceptably high rate of preventable maternal and infant mortality and morbidity is mainly due to unfair access to quality care during pregnancy and childbirth and the lack of skilled nursing care and treatment for infants and young children at 28 days after birth. Quality care includes respect for the rights and dignity of all people, regardless of their age, ethnicity, gender, gender, locality and socioeconomic status.
The standards and guidelines for care required by all pregnant women and infants, as well as the prevention and management services of the major causes of maternal and infant mortality, are well supported by the evidence. However, tailored strategies and resources are needed to ensure access and quality of such care in many resource-poor settings, where almost all maternal and infant deaths occur.
What should be done?
There is a widespread belief that QED is an urgent priority, requiring cooperation on several fronts. This action includes:
- fostering the understanding that most maternal and infant deaths and births within birth can be prevented when appropriate and timely care is available;
- increasing attention to issues of quality, equity and dignity and the improvements needed;
- mobilizing political commitments and dedicated funding to support QED’s national plans, programs and interventions;
- supporting women, families, communities, health professionals and others to become involved in the design and implementation of QED policies and programs;
- ensuring that community-based evidence and knowledge are synthesized, compared and distributed; and
- working in partnership with humanitarian actors to overcome specific environmental challenges that include logistical difficulties, inadequate supplies, limited staffing and insecurity.
How is PMNCH changing?
PMNCH coordinates and coordinates action in its 10 constituencies to accelerate progress toward halting preventable maternal and neonatal deaths, morbidity and stillbirths and to facilitate the advancement of all new mothers and their newborns.
PMNCH supports partners in integrating QEDs into national UHC plans, enhancing equitable access to quality and respectful care, and increasing investments in nursing and midwifery. PMNCH promotes access to relevant knowledge and evidence, shares best practices and plays a leading role in advocacy and communication on social media, raising awareness of the need to act on QED nationally, regionally and globally.
At the state level, PMNCH also supports coalitions to provide care, citizen hearings and other efforts to increase the demand for QED interventions and involve parents and communities in the development, implementation and oversight of key policies and programs.

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily.
