Coronavirus: Spain’s death toll 2,000 – BBC News

The death toll in Spain has reached 2,182, the government announced, after the death of 462 people in the last 24 hours.

In Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel on Sunday announced a ban on the gathering of no more than two non-family members. Bavaria was in the state after police closed several public “crown parties” organized by young people on social media. Prime Minister Markus Söder called the meeting a “real threat”.
