U.S. President Donald Trump has dismissed concerns about climate change during a visit to California destroyed by the fire, and told an official “I don’t think science knows” about global warming. “It’s going to start to cool down, you just have to see it,” Trump said, after asking him to “ignore science”. Fires in several states have burned large areas of land and killed at least 36 people since early August. Scientists say human activities have raised the global temperature. But Trump has blamed poor forest management on fires that have burned nearly 2 million acres (5 million acres) of land in California, Oregon and Washington state.
