A magnitude 4.2 earthquake was reported in the afternoon near the town of Pedernales in Ecuador, according to the Geophysics Institute of the National Polytechnic School of Quito (IGEPN), the earthquake struck on Thursday November 5, 2020 at 4.47 pm local time at a very shallow depth of 5 km .
