US President Donald Trump has warned Americans that they are preparing for the “toughest week” of the coronavirus pandemic, and have predicted a rise in deaths.

In a daily filing, Trump said he would “die” in a bleak assessment in the coming days.

He wanted to reassure the states that had hit the hardest, by ordering medical and military supplies to fight the virus.

But contrary to his warning, Trump proposed mitigating guidelines for social distance for Easter.

“We need to reopen our country,” Trump said at a White House press conference on Saturday. “We haven’t been doing this for months and months and months.”
