NHS Trusts have warned that easing coronavirus restrictions over Christmas puts a third wave of infection at risk. The NHS Provider – which represents more than 200 trusts in England – has called on Boris Johnson to be careful when the current level across England is soon revised. Trustees have warned that there are 10,000 fewer hospital beds available than last year, as well as NHS winter flu pressures.
