An earthquake measuring more than 4 on the Richter scale struck Milan yesterday afternoon (Thursday) in the minute before 5 pm.

The epicenter was at a depth of eight kilometers in the town of Teresano Sol Naviglio and caused all buildings in the city to shake but caused no related damage. Firefighters only received calls about minor damage to homes.

Residents claimed to have felt the earthquake and the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology confirmed that it was initially rated between 3.8 and 4.3 on the Richter scale, but eventually set the first number.
