Just 12 minutes ago, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Escuintla in Muncio de Escuintla, Guatemala. The tremor was recorded early in the morning on Saturday 6 February 2021 at 1:41 am local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface of the Earth, and the event was presented by the Nicaraguan Institute of Regional Studies (INETER), the first agency To monitor earthquakes based on preliminary seismic data, the earthquake should not have caused any major damage, but it was probably felt by many people as a slight shaking in the epicenter area.
