ZAGREB (Reuters) – The earthquake that struck the Croatian capital Zagreb a month ago has damaged about 42 billion kuna (4.88 billion pounds) and the country will seek foreign aid to pay for the reconstruction, the government said on Wednesday.

One person was killed and 27 others injured in the magnitude 5.3 earthquake on March 22nd, while many people were forced to leave their homes due to building damage

Finance Minister Zdravko Marek said this month that Croatia will also need up to 70 billion kuna in the next few months to deal with the economic impact of the coronavirus crisis.
