The earthquake recorded in Louisiana came back before today on August 2, 2010, when a magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported in East Feliciana Parish, and the closest earthquake to southeastern Louisiana in recent years was on May 6, 2018, when a magnitude 4.6 earthquake was recorded. 166 miles southeast of New Orleans, or 113 miles southeast of Boras.
