West Nile virus has been detected in mosquito samples taken from 26 cities and towns in Massachusetts so far this year, according to the State Department.
Trackers on the DPH website have identified communities where West Nile samples were detected as of Tuesday.
Affected municipalities include Medford, Belmont, Watertown, Falmouth, Boston, Quincy, Burlington, Waltham, Chelsea, Linfield, Hampden, Mansfield, Kingston, Arlington, Cambridge, Everett, Agawam, Attleboro, Sharon and West. Wood, Medway, Springfield, Hadley, Swansea, Daiton, Worcester.
According to the DPH tracker, no human cases of West Nile fever have been detected so far this summer.
