ADPH Officials: Omicron Spreads Can Stagnate Indoor Events
The epidemic of Huntsville, Alabama-Omicron variants can interfere with indoor events in northern Alabama, Dr. Wes Stubblefield, Alabama Public Health Department warns.
“Omicron variants are, as far as we know, very infectious and 2-3 times more infectious than Delta variants,” he said. “Therefore, if you plan to stay indoors around many other people, you are at increased risk of getting the virus.”
Samantha Nielsen of the Von Braun Center in Huntsville said the variant had influenced the tour artists coming to the town.
