Ohio: Measles epidemic rises to 82, 90% unvaccinated

The measles outbreak in central Ohio has 82 confirmed cases as of December 27, according to the Columbus Public Health Department.

The first case of measles was confirmed on 22nd October 2022 and as of 27th December there are 82 confirmed cases, 32 hospitalized and no deaths.

The current outbreak started with four unimmunized children in a childcare facility and has spread to multiple public places in Columbus, Franklin and Ross counties.
