COVID-19 related fifth death announced by San Luis Obispo County-KEYT

San Luis Obispo County, California-San Luis Obispo County reported a fifth coronavirus death on Saturday.
The public health county said the deaths were in their 70s who had multiple underlying health conditions.
This person died at home. Health officials have determined that the individual has caught the virus from the community.
“Lost another member of our community is disastrous,” said County Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein. “We feel the patient’s friends and family. This unfortunately reminds us that COVID-19 is widespread in our community.”
As a reminder, all members of the community are encouraged to take precautions to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Those who are considered to be at the highest risk should try to stay home as much as possible to avoid catching it.
“Our community expects to be added to the state’s “watch list,” so it is important for our community to continue our role in slowing expansion,” Borenstein. Said the doctor. “This means staying at home, keeping a distance of 6 feet when leaving home, and preferably covering your face in public.”
As of Friday, SLO County has reported 905 cases of COVID-19. Of these cases, 616 have recovered, 264 are currently recovering at home, 10 are currently hospitalized, and 5 are in the ICU. The first death associated with COVID-19 was reported on April 4.
