Physicists have achieved the world’s first technology that can revolutionize the field of medicine by independently measuring and studying a single twisted nanoparticle.
Researchers at the University of Bath used a state-of-the-art technique called hyper-Rayleigh scattering optical activity (HRS OA) to study gold particles somewhere at the nanoscale level or in areas 10,000 times smaller than the pinhead.
Using this technique, they were able to measure the chirality of gold particles. This is a special twist and unique of certain materials that cannot be overlaid on other materials.
