Kahn Hospital Limits Elective Surgery In Response to COVID-19 Surge | News
Hospitals in Kern County, including Adventist Health Hospital and Mercy Hospital, have announced that they will temporarily suspend or limit the number of selective treatments in response to the surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations within the county.
Adventist Health announced on Tuesday that a surge in hospitalizations due to COVID-19 will suspend all selective treatment at that location in Kern County until the end of January. In Kern County, Adventist Health is based in Tehachapi, Bakersfield and Delano.
According to the statement, the decision was made “with an understanding of hospital and community restrictions,” including available beds, staff, equipment, fixtures, and community safety.
