EU advises COVID not to use the drug ivermectin

EU drug regulators advised on Monday not to use the antiparasitic ivermectin for coronavirus outside of clinical trials, despite advertising the coronavirus as a miracle treatment.
Facebook posts and articles in support of ivermectin are skyrocketing in Brazil, France, South Africa and South Korea as governments around the world are suffering from vaccination programs.
“The EMA reviewed the latest evidence on the use of ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of COVID and concluded that the available data do not support the use of COVID externally in a well-designed manner. .. Clinical trial“.
The Amsterdam-based agency said it has not received a license application for the drug, which has long been used to treat parasites such as head lice and to blind rivers in sub-Saharan Africa.
