U.S. Marshals and several other agencies are searching for potentially dangerous suspects in Harrison Co.

HARRISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – U.S. Marshals, along with several other agencies, are searching for two potentially dangerous suspects in the Leesburg area of ​​Harrison County.

According to Georgetown Police, multiple agencies are searching for 43-year-old Nathan Ginter.

They say Ginter is wanted out of South Carolina on charges including child abuse and failure to appear in court.

According to WKYT sister station WIS in Columbia, South Carolina, Ginter was convicted last week of unlawful conduct toward a child for chronic physical abuse of his young daughter. U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement agencies are working to find him after he failed to appear in court for his own trial.

Ginter would be armed.

They are also looking for Riley Pearson, 32, also from South Carolina, who is believed to be with Ginter and helping him.

Marlon Stewart, owner of Hidden Lake Farm Campground in Harrison County, says Ginter and Pearson have been camping there for a few weeks now.

He says they paid in cash and seemed very friendly. He didn't think anything of them until the U.S. Marshals Office showed up Monday night.

Stewart says Marshals attempted to make contact with both men Tuesday morning. But Stewart says the operation failed and the two escaped.

Georgetown police say they had a sighting of Ginter earlier this afternoon, sparking this search.

Multiple agencies, including the U.S. Marshals, Kentucky State Police, Georgetown Police, Lexington Police, Paris Police and Cynthiana Police, were involved in this search.

Anyone who sees these two is asked to call KSP at 859-4281212.

Kentucky State Police are encouraging area residents to lock their homes and vehicles and stay indoors if possible.
