Russia pressures allies US and Ukraine to flee kyiv, threatening ‘systematic strikes’

Moscow says more such attacks could occur.

The Russian Foreign Ministry warned on Monday that it would carry out “systematic strikes” against military targets in kyiv, including what it called “decision-making centers.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov raised the new threat in a call with Rubio on Monday, according to the Russian statement, informing the United States, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, of the impending “systematic and sequential strikes” on kyiv and reiterating the call for American diplomatic personnel to evacuate.

U.S.-led peace talks to end the war have stalled, with President Donald Trump focusing on the war in Iran.

Some US allies have reacted less impartially.
