From reproductive rights to climate change to big tech, The Independent is where the stories are unfolding. Whether we’re investigating the finances of Elon Musk’s pro-Trump PAC or producing ‘The A Word,’ the latest documentary highlighting American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to analyze the facts in your message.

At such a critical moment in American history, we need reporters on the field. Your donations allow us to continue sending journalists to tell both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across politics. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to block Americans’ reporting and analysis with a paywall. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, and those who can afford it should pay for it.

The explosive behind-the-scenes story of the events that led to Britain’s fateful decision to leave the EU 10 years ago is revealed for the first time in The Independent.

Boris Johnson’s abuse of Theresa May, Barack Obama’s appalled reaction to the referendum result and scathing accusations among Brexit supporters are among hundreds of dramatic revelations in the blockbuster book, which launches today.

Sir Anthony Seldon’s The Brexit Effect features essays from 41 prominent figures involved in the referendum, some of whom have never commented publicly before. They come from the highest levels of every sector of public life: politics, diplomacy, academia, and the church. Crucially, they represent both sides of the debate – Leavers and Remainers.

Their candid account of the often chaotic manner of Brexit and who is to blame for what has gone wrong since will spark a new, fierce debate about whether Brexit should or can be reversed.

The publication of this book comes ahead of the 10th anniversary of the historic referendum on 23 June 2016. It also comes at a time when senior politicians, including Labor leadership candidate and former health secretary Wes Streeting, are increasingly calling for Britain to join the EU.

Brexit Effect Editor: Anthony Seldon (Cambridge University Press)

Serializing Sir Anthony’s book at this critical moment is part of The Independent’s new campaign on how Britain can rebuild its broken relationship with Europe. The Europe: The Way Back campaign consists of news, analysis, interviews and live events examining the impact Brexit has had on every aspect of our lives – from the economy, immigration, trade and sovereignty to Britain’s place in the world, educational links, social cohesion, culture and more.

The Independent will examine each issue with a laser lens, including answering key questions about whether our situation is better or worse as a result of the breakdown in relations with Brussels, as well as its financial implications. Let’s see if Brexit supporters’ claims emblazoned on the side of the famous red bus that toured the country are proven true. And to what extent will the dire warnings of those who oppose them bear fruit?

We will aim to establish what a fair Britain will look like 10 years after Brexit and where we need to go from here.

‘The Brexit Effect: 2016-2026’, edited by Anthony Seldon and published by Cambridge University Press on 18 June (£16.99).

One important advantage is the speed at which information is sent and received. With the help of the internet, the shopping habits of many persons have drastically changed. The car insurance industry hasn't remained untouched by these changes. On the internet, drivers can compare insurance prices and find out which sellers have the best offers. View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
